Catholics and Climate Change
On Thursday, May 27, 2021, Part 2 of the Catholics and Climate Change conference sponsored by Little Flower Catholic Church, South Bend, will take place on Zoom at 7:00 p.m. EDT. This session will feature a panel of Catholic thinkers who live and embrace Catholic social teaching in the context of climate change.
The moderator, Dr. Philip J. Sakimoto, is an astrophysicist and former Acting Director of NASA’s Space Education and Public Outreach Program, and Co-Instructor for the Sustainability Minor Gateway Course, University of Notre Dame. The three panelists are:
Fr. Emmanuel Katongole, Professor of Peace Studies and Theology, Notre Dame;
Paz Artaza-Regan, National Coordinator of Creation Care Teams for the Catholic Climate Covenant;
Sr. Damien Marie Savino, Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist, Dean of Sciences and Sustainability, Aquinas College, Grand Rapids, MI.
